Personalization of learning is like eating a cake of our favourite flavour mixed with chocolate, cherries and nuts. Every bite of it tastes delightful and the results are always worth the effort.
This week’s e-learning challenge is to share a personalized e-learning sample using gamification techniques.
So, to give it a try we have explored and finally planned to personalize and gamify around the techniques of gamification. We picked up three techniques from the article Gamification Techniques: How to Apply Them to E-Learning and made an exciting sample.
When it comes to personalization we included
- Learner to choose an avatar
- Referring the learner with the name
- Learner to choose his/her favourite color
Considering the three techniques of gamification- Discovery, Time Constraint and Interactivity, we had three sections and to each one, we gave a relevant design helping the learners to know how each can be integrated into learning.
Using Articulate Storyline 2 we’ve developed this sample that highlights the personalization aspect of e-learning, offers few facts on three gamification techniques besides showing how each can be applied in e-learning.
