Deming’s Red Bead Experiment uses statistical theory to show that even though a “willing worker” wants to do a good job, their success is directly tied to and limited by the nature of the system they are working within.
This week’s e-learning challenge is to come up with an interaction, simulation, lesson or a quiz to demonstrate “The Red Bead Experiment.”
So, we created a small interaction, where the learner collects the beads each day for three days, and at the end, we had a manager give feedback on the learner’s performance based on the requirement to collect only white beads.
We gave it a dynamic industrial background design using elements that support the action flow between the bead wagon and the crane when learner intervenes.
We developed this interaction on Red Bead Experiment using Articulate Storyline 2.
